Dear Danielle,
      I really like riding horses. I remeber the names of the horses I rode at the ranch, their names are Snow and Spirit. I like Danielle and John cause they are nice. I am learning a lot from them. My Aunt helped me write this.

Dear Danielle,
     This is a really great horse ranch because it has allowed me to experience what it is like to ride a horse. I have learned more about horses in these last three times and today, than any other time in my whole life. For instance, I never knew the horse's mane had no feeling and horses move by pressure.

     When I first came to Zoe Sky Ranch, I was not used to riding and was a bit afraid of horses. As I learned about horses and did ground work, I rode a couple of time and realized horses are nothing to be afraid of. Learning how to use the reins properly made it easier for Snow and I.

     My vision of the future is brightened as Zoe Sky Ranch has become a part of the children's lives, as well as the adults and mine.
The first visit to the ranch the Holy Spirit moved deeply and as the wind blew, I felt such a release...A verse kept coming to me, "wherever the wind blows, my Spirit goes."
I felt as if God has a much bigger plan that I have ever known before...to bless, as we have been blessed.

Me and the kids were last weekend at your Ranch. We had a great time.
On Saturday night I was lying in bed and I was very happy. The group of people, the horses and the weather made it very special.

This was our first time horseback riding. I rode Snow. I want to ride him again up the hill.

     I rode Snow. He is very gentle and calm. We want to come back and learn how to ride the horses.

     I was on the airplane flying back to Colorado to live near family. I read an article on the plane, "50 Things to do with your kids before they grow up." I ripped it out and made a note book. I made a list for my neice and nephew, Sophie and Jon. I asked Sophie if she had anything in mind that she would like to do, and she said, "I would like to ride a horse."
Well, I didn't have a horse anymore and I asked the Lord, "Lord, how am I gonna do this." Two weeks later I went to Walmart and saw John sitting in boots and a Cowboy hat. I said, "I think we are supposed to talk to this guy," that's how we learned of the ranch.
Sophie has been very shy, she wanted to do this so bad!
When we came to the ranch, Danielle was so in tune to that, that Sophie came right out of her shell, rode Snow and could not wait to come back!

Danielle,
I have been coming to the ranch for 8 months. My first day at the ranch I had a lot of anger and acted out. I thought that Danielle was going to tell me to never come back, but she just loved on me. I struggled with anger a lot, but since coming to the ranch, it has made me a nicer person.
I love riding, the other kids and being with Danielle and John. I spend weekends with them and they love me like a son.

It was by “God’s chance” that we met in July 2007… at a gathering of Christian women… then to do my hair… then to introduce you to our son, Josiah, who has come to love you! As you know we adopted him from foster care when he was 4 years old (now 12) and his best therapy is time with animals so he wanted to try horses. He was your first child at Zoe Sky Ranch! He has grown and matured in the Lord and now as a young man through this experience—I cannot tell you how blessed we feel when you say he is now one of your best helpers! We think of you and John as family and are pleased to be part of the entire nonprofit ranch program—thank you for the love and Jesus spirit you share with the children. We love you guys!

Dear Danielle,

     Ever since I came to the ranch I now look forward to the weekends.You and John helped me discover that there is more than just to riding. Like groundwork. There is so many fun things that everyone can do! Whenever my sister and I get out of the car, there is always a smile on everyone's face. So far I have learned to trot and gallop! With your help I have gotten very good! Thanks for putting your time and energy into this great program!
